Code 128 Set C adds a leading zero to barcode with odd amount of data

I am using ActiveX control and Symbology 13 for Code 128. The encoding data is 911099960, where 91 stands for AI, and 1099960 is my store number. The DLL added a leading zero on the readable and scanned data so I am reading 0911099960, even though it should be 911099960.
Are there any parameters that can be changed to remove the leading zero?

Hello Waleed,

It sounds like the Code 128 set C is being used. Set C is a numeric-only subset and will add a zero to the beginning of the data if there is an odd set of numbers because it requires that an even set be used.

It is recommended to set the Code128CharSet property to zero for AUTO, to encode this kind of barcode. You will also want to make sure that the ApplyTilde property is set to 1 or true. This will encode the proper FNC1 bar pattern before the application identifier.

Refer to this page for a complete list of properties.

I suggest trying our latest control. This has the ApplyTilde property and should fix the original issue.
Refer see this page to download the demo version.

Hi Tim,
I tried your solution but I could not find the ApplyTilde property in ActiveX. I use IDAutomation Linear Barcode 1.3.

So could you please advise me?

Regards,
Waleed
