How to use the scanner?

Hi

I have just downloaded the demo version of IDAutomation for creating barcodes, and have created a barcode successfully to what we desire for our product.

In order for me to continue buying the product I need more clarity on how to practically use the codes. I mean in terms of getting a scanner and actually being able to scan the codes to my computer and if possible can our clients be able to also scan to their computers?

Thanks
Sipho

You'll want to make sure that you purchase a barcode scanner that is able to read the barcode type you are using for your products. Which barcode type do you need to be able to read? Common examples include Code 39, Code 128, UPC, Data Matrix, QR Code, and others. We recommend USB-connected scanners because they have something called keyboard emulation. This means you simply point the scanner at the barcode, pull the trigger to read the barcode, and the data encoded within the barcode will output wherever the cursor is positioned on your computer screen. If you can let me know which particular barcode type you're generating and need to be able to scan, I'll be happy to recommend a barcode scanner that will meet your needs.
