Resolved Questions

I need help with the exact code to turn on ApplyTilde method to make a Code 128 compliant to GS1-128 using IDAutomation Native Linear Barcode Generator for Microsoft Access

I am using MS Access. I Want to generate GSC-1 (EAN128) compliant code from Code 128. For me simplest is to use the ApplyTilde method and add in ~202 etc where necessary.

So, in the Detail section with the field to encode I have tried to set ApplyTilde to true using the following code.

result = IDAutomation_NatG_C128(TextControlName As Control, ReportControlName As Report,[Mils As Long = 12],[ApplyTilde Boolean = True],[DPI as Long = 300],[Orientation As Long = 0])

The editor highlights As and an error. I copied this code from your website.

1 Please confirm that I can turn on ApplyTilde in this way.

2 Please help by identifying any silly errors I have made with the code (and I obviously have made at least one).

3 Please confirm that this will automatically encode FNC1 and enable GS1-128 (EAN128) from IDAutomation Native Linear Barcode Generator for Microsoft Access.

Option Compare Database
Private Sub Detail_Print(Cancel As Integer, PrintCount As Integer)
If Len(txtIDAutomationBC1) > 0 Then
result = IDAutomation_NatG_C128(TextControlName As Control, ReportControlName As Report,[Mils As Long = 12],[ApplyTilde Boolean = True],[DPI as Long = 300],[Orientation As Long = 0])

Else
result = ""
Exit Sub
End If
End Sub

Help!

Operating System: Vista

Application: MS Access (Code 128 working fine - Just need to make it GS1-128)

Ensure that the parameters are properly set. This is an example of a GS1-128 setup using the first four parameters:

result = IDAutomation_NatG_C128(IDAutomationBarcode128, Me, 12, True)

The fourth parameter, ApplyTilde, is set to True. I did not include the last two parameters: DPI and Orientation.

If there are issues, the Native Generator for Access (demo and sale) includes a GS1-128 sample report:
