How do I link fields with Native Barcode generator and Text Interpretation


I am following the directions to use the Native Barcode Generator with Crystal Reports and am stuck on this step:
"Open the report the barcode is needed for and choose Edit - Paste to paste the Native Barcode Generator object where it is desired.
When using Code 128 and GS1-128 (UCC/EAN-128), the text object just below the Native Barcode Generator object should also be copied, if it is desired to have the text interpretation appear below the barcode."

When I attempt to copy the text interpretation field into my report I get an error message that the field can not be found in the database. How do I edit the database to look for my database field instead of the default in the sample report provided?

I see the confusion,

The text under the barcode is just a field from the database that has been dropped on the report. So any field that is being encoded in the barcode can just be added to the report normally, just placed underneath the barcode.

I have added text fields from my database as you suggested I just thought I might be missing out on some functionality/magic. Thanks for the clarification.
