Invalid or Incorrect Data for Intelligent Mail

I have the zip code but when I create the barcode, it says "Invalid Data." What do I need to do?

Ben	Best Answer If you receive an Invalid Data,Incorrect Data, or Incorrectly formed DataToEncode parameter error, this means that the amount of data inserted to generate the Intelligent Mail Barcode is not correct. Intelligent Mail requires a specific amount of data to become valid. Review the Intelligent Mail FAQ: https://www.idautomation.com/intelligent-mail.html#Intelligent_Mail_Overview OR USPS FAQ The Intelligent Mail Barcode is made up of a: Tracking Code and a Routing Code. The TRACKING CODE contains a: Barcode Identifier, Special Services number, Customer Identifier, and Sequence Number. (1) The Barcode Identifier is a two-digit value assigned by the USPS to encode the presort identification. (2) The Special Services number (Service type identifier) is a three-digit value that represents the class of the mail. (3) The Customer Identifier (Mailer ID) is a 6 or 9-digit code assigned by the USPS that identifies the mailer or customer sending the mail. (4) The Sequence Number is a number assigned by the mailer to the mail to identify the receiver. The ROUTING CODE as it is simply the zip code information. The Routing Code can be: (1) nothing at all (2) a 5-digit zip code (5 digits) (3) a 5-digit zip + 4 (9 digits) (4) a 5-digit zip + 4 + 2 digit delivery point (11 digits) The amount of data encoded into the barcode must be 20, 25, 29, or 31 digits.
