Resetting to factory default SC7-USB-2D


How can I reset the scanner back to the factory default when it won't scan any linear bar code? I use it to scan Data Matrix, which does fine, but will not scan ANY linear. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it, thanks much!

OK, got it working. I scanned the barcode "discard' from the program chart in the manual. Apparently, it must have been hung up in program mode. Scans linear okay now.

Yes, I have increased the barcode size, printed on a laser printer, tried others even on items, and nothing scans. Tried all different ones and sizes nothing is working. Is there a manual reset on this scanner? The scanner is brand new also, just received it last Thursday. Is this something I should probably return? I went through the whole manual, and on the support site and couldn't find anything on this issue, so I appreciate your assistance here. Thanks. K

Isn't it supposed to beep or something? I tried that several times, doesn't seem to do anything.

On page 132 of the manual, you may scan the "Reset Scanner to Default Settings" to reset the SC7-USB-2D scanner to the defaults.
