Is it possible to make a 5 digit check number in this format 00001 and also have this number incremented and decremented in the embedded MICR line.


I would like to decrement or increment a 5-digit number in both the MICR field and the check number fields and retain five digits in both fields of the Check Printing Software. e.g. 50000 decremented to 00001 with the field retaining the 5 digits.

Though it is not possible to create the checks using the specific order number directly within the Label Software, it is possible to use another application such as Excel to perform the number formatting.

In Excel, set the column to Text and enter the full check number 00001. Drag the cell so that it populates the other cells until you reach the desired value.

Import the field as an External Data Source.
