How to turn on Apply Tilde in Applescript example for GS1-128 character Set C

I've gone through the AppleScript example supplied "IDAutomation_AppleScript_Uni_C128c.scpt" with this package, but I do not see a subroutine for turning on the "apply tilde" option so that FNC1 values can be encoded in the proper place.
For example, using the Applescript example if I encode (30)6 I get "EBJBBGBFCBJEGIAH" but if I use your online tool I get "EBJAMICFBFAJBIFFBCFIBBCFGIAH". The Applescript example will not produce the FNC1 code or the literal () output that the online tool does, so I assume to get the Applescript example to do that I need an Applescript example that has the "apply tilde" option.

Operating System: Mac OS X

Application: AppleScript, Excel, Various

Because the IDAutomation AppleScript code does not have a Code 128 Auto function, the ApplyTilde option is not available.

AppleScript Functions include:

If feasible, you may use the IDAutomation_Uni_C128 function found in the VBA file* to translate that function to AppleScript.

Thanks, not really the answer I wanted, but I guess it's an answer.

I'm not using Excel per se, I'm using your Applescript examples in order to understand the logic of encoding so I can replicate that logic in a custom database environment. I am testing it via Excel Mac 2011 (14.4.3) but that really isn't germane to the issue as Excel is just used as a fancy clipboard when paired with the Applescript samples.
I need an Applescript example that shows what is done when ~ is encountered and that contains a direct reference to 'ApplyTilde'.
