I'm adding a 128 BarCode into a prn file to test, but barcode scanner can't read it.

Hello. Here is my problem.

I'm adding PCL commands to a prn file to test BarCode 128.
I'm trying with the word "BarCode", so I've added start, checksum, and stop commands. Here are my PCL commands:

@PJL ENTER LANGUAGE=PCL <CR><LF>
<ESC>(1758XÌBarCodevÎ<ESC>(3@

<ESC>E
<ESC>%-12345X

This command ÌBarCodevÎ is working just fine, because I've tried to print it on a Word file, and my barcode scanner read it just fine.
The problem is when I add the PCL font (Provided by the id automation demo) into the printer (id 1758). After I print that PCLs commands the barcode is not readable using the barcode scanner.
Looking at the barcode printed, I can assume that the start and stop characters (Ì and Î) are not being recognized (The two barcode characters are equal and are equal to a character that is not recognized by the printer).

Can you please help me? If this works I can offer my company to buy the product.

Ben	Compare the barcode displayed in the Word file with the printout from the PCL. Is the bar pattern the same? Can you take a photograph or scan of the printed barcode and send the image to us: Contact Us or attach it as an image to the forum? Posted 9.5 year(s) ago (0) (0) Report Abuse
