Need help with font formula syntax in Crystal Reports.

I have four formula fields that I am attempting to concatenate the results to print in a UCC128 barcode. When I type in the "raw" data results into a string, (e.g DataToEncode = "0183010010012500007") the barcode prints and scans fine.

What would the syntax be to concatenate four formula fields in order to achieve a workable UCC128? I have tried similar examples to the following to no avail:
DataToEncode = ({(@CCPO)+(@CCPOLine)+(@CCQTY)+(@CCTag)})
DataToEncode = "totext({@CCPO}) + totext({@CCPOLine}) + totext({@CCQTY}) + totext({@CCTag})"

Where the variables = the following:
CCPO - right("000000" + {database.ORD_Cust_PO_No}, 6)
CCPOLine - right("000" + trim(totext(if isnull({database.ORD_Cust_PO_Line_No}) then "001" else totext({database.ORD_Cust_PO_Line_No}) )),3)
CCQTY - right("00000" + trim(totext({database.UnitQty}, "#####")),5)
CCTag - right("00000" + trim(totext({database.UnitNumber}, "#####")),5)

Is the problem that the DataToEncode can only be a field name or a static string?

Verify that you are using correct syntax for Crystal Reports fields for the Native Generator.

Instead of:
DataToEncode = ({(@CCPO)+(@CCPOLine)+(@CCQTY)+(@CCTag)})

keep each field within brackets such as::
DataToEncode = ({@CCPO} + {@CCPOLine} + {@CCQTY} + {@CCTag})
