Having problems with Bar Code generation from Web Server using the IDAutomation UFL

Hi
I am developing a report for a customer that incorporates an EAN13 barcode. The report is embedded into our web application and displayed to the customer as a PDF which they print to their local printer.
I have been advised to purchase end-user licenses and we bought 6 as there would be 6 users who would be printing the bar code.
The report is created in Crystal and I initially provided the customer with the rpt file and the U25IDAutomation.dll. The customer has installed the fonts.
In my local test environment, the report creates and displays correctly in the PDF, however, when the customer tries to run the report an error occurs with the message U25IDAutomation .dll cannot be found. It is installed on the server in windowssystem32

This is the error that we are seeing:

Server Error in '/CrystalReports' Application.

UFL 'u25idautomation.dll' that implements this function is missing.Error in File Visitor {424ED571-51B3-43C1-823F-9993B99A5D0E}.rpt:

UFL 'u25idautomation.dll' that implements this function is missing.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Source Error:
An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

As an alternative, I tried to create the report using embedded fonts but they do not display when I test it creating it as a PDF.

Any assistance you can provide would be most appreciated.

When generating the report, the U25IDAutomation dll is a UFL that encodes the data for the font. If the formula is used in a report and the UFL is not installed, it will produce the error: u25idautomation.dll' that implements this function is missing.

The file must be installed on all machines attempting to generate the report.

Recommended Solution :

If you want to get away from installing the UFL on every machine that needs to generate the report, there is a font formulas option that allows you to embed code that encodes the data directly into the report. Therefore, you would not need to use a dll at all. The code will remain in the report during the transfer.

We include the font formulas in your product package under "Crystal Font Formulas" or a similar name.
