Server 2012 Crystal Reports crashing on 2D datamatrix barcode


Hi - we purchased a license for multiple ID Automation products but unfortunately, the person who made purchases and has order info is not available at this time. Our app that runs embedded Crystal Reports run fine on WIN 7 64-bit PCs but crashes when run on WIN SERVER 2012. Are they any special considerations for installing the data matrix product on WIN SERVER 2012?

Instead of using the UFL to encode data in Crystal for Data Matrix, use the Data Matrix Font formula which is included in the Data Matrix Font and Encoder Advantage Package. Since this is code that is embedded in the report, there should be no issues with crashing.

As mentioned in my first post, the font formula solution is part of the Data Matrix Font and Encoder Package. It is more suitable for your setup as the formula is code that is embedded directly in the report and does not rely on an external dll to encode the data. Use this formula instead of the UFL which is also included in the package.

We've purchased the ID Automation Data Matrix Font Encoder. Can't we make it work on Server 2012?
