2D Barcode Font - Data Matrix

I have IDAutomation_DataMatrixWindowsFontEncoder.exe which works fine on 32-bit machines. but when I deploy it on a 64-bit machine, I get "Run time Error 482. Printer Error".

How can I resolve this issue?
Do I need separate installs for 64-bit machines?

Thanks
Ashish

Ashish,

I assume that you would be using the com dll, is that correct? If so there is a 32-bit and a 64-bit dll that is part of the IDAutomation_DataMatrixWindowsFontEncoder.exe installation.
64-bit dll:
C:WindowsIDAutomationDMATRIX64.dll
32-bit dll:
C:WindowsSystem32IDAutomationDMATRIX.dll
or on a 64-bit machine, this 32-bit dll is installed here.
C:WindowsSysWOW64IDAutomationDMATRIX.dll

It sounds like the 64-bit file is missing when deploying to the 64-bit machine.

Ashish,

I do apologize but I do not have the ability to see user emails, and it would appear that the order ID entered is not valid.

Please email me your order ID to support@idautomation.com.

Or if you look in the C:Windows folder on the same machine that the IDAutomation_DataMatrixWindowsFontEncoder.exe file was installed you will see the IDAutomationDMATRIX64.dll component.

Tim,

Can you send me the 64-bit version dll to my registered email address?
I need it ASAP as I am setting up a 64-bit environment for my testing.

Thanks
Ashish

Tim,

I am using it from C#.Net 3.5 framework and using it on a Word application.
This component works fine in a 32-bit environment.

Thanks
Ashish

Ashish,

Can you give me some more details on how the font is being used?
For example what application is this being used in, Word, Excel, Crystal, etc..., or are you writing your own custom application?
