We have the requirement to create a GS1-128 barcode in subset B and want to use one of the following products:
Streaming Barcode Server for IIS
Dynamic Barcode Generator Subscription SaaS

Can it be done?

The difference between the products mentioned is that a client hosts the Streaming Barcode Server for IIS and the Dynamic Barcode Generator Subscription SaaS is the same product hosted by IDAutomation.

Example:
Encoding Method: Direct ASCII Method (using Ê)
AI (Application Identifier): 420
AI’s Data: L5H3B6

Using the live streaming demo the barcode is formed with the following parameters:
D= Ê420L5H3B6
CS= 2 (Code 128 subset B)
ST= F (Show Text set to False, since it shows Ê in human-readable (HR) text*)
IR= 200 (Optional – to make barcode Image Resolution higher and increase barcode size)

Resulting Barcode Image (contains URL link when clicked – some browsers/interfaces may replace Ê with the equivalent %C3%8A – the watermark is a because we are using a demo product):
image

*It is generally recommended that the user add an additional text field under the barcode in their interface to show the desired HR text.

The image is a properly encoded GS1-128 subset B barcode and scans** correctly as ]C1420L5H3B6, where ]C1 is the correctly decoded FNC1.

**To see the FNC1, the scanner must be set to decode the symbol (refer to the respective scanner manual for further details).
