Barcode plugin works on local files (win 7), but not from remote files (Win Server 2008 SE)

I have put the IDAutomationNat.FMX file into C:Program Files (x86)/FileMaker/FileMaker Pro 12/Extensions locally, and both C:Program Files/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Database Server/Extensions and C:Program Files/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Database Server x64/Extensions on the server. It will work for local files, but not remote files on the server. When I enable the FileMaker Script Engine (server) to use plug-ins, the IDAutomationNat.FMX does not show in the list. When I disable the FileMaker Script Engine (server) to use plug-ins, IDAutomationNat.FMX is on the list, but it will not load.

Does the FileMaker Barcode Plug-In (IDAutomationNat.FMX) work on the server side for FileMaker Server 12?

James	Best Answer Note: Since this question was resolved, IDAutomation has updated the FileMaker Native Barcode Generator products. The latest version offers easier and web-compatible methods (HTML and SVG) of generating barcodes in FileMaker without the use of plugins. Technically, that product was not made for the server version. You can try to see if it works, but you might just want to try an easier Hosted solution (below), which would stream images to the FileMaker Server. In general, the Hosted solutions are as follows: * Dynamic Barcode Generator Subscription (hosted by IDAutomation) * Java Barcode Servlet (hosted by your company) * Streaming Barcode Server for IIS (hosted by your company) * ASP.NET Barcode Web Server Control (hosted by your company) Posted 10.5 year(s) ago (0) (0) Report Abuse
