Resolved Questions

Why are there carriage returns in my scanned barcode?

When I encode the data:

IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde("|141060002230100 ~ 013123456789987 ~ 01332145 ~ 0130").

The result is:
|141060002230100
123456789987
82145
0

Why are there carriage returns?

Apply Tilde allows ASCII characters to be encoded by using the format ~???.

When using Apply Tilde, the ~013 signifies a Carriage Return (CR), which is why the result appears the way it does.

If this is not the desired result, consider using the Code 128 Auto function (IDAutomation_Code128(DataToEncode)) that does not implement Apply Tilde for encoding ASCII characters.

IDAutomation suggests the use of Code128 Auto, which is the IDAutomation_Code128ApplyTilde(DataToEncode) function (as it accurately determines the Code 128 subset) unless subset A is necessary to be forced.
