Need ActiveX Data Matrix .savebarcode function as BMP

I would like to know how and if it's possible to export/create a DataMatrix ActiveX Control image but with a BMP file format.

The Data Matrix ActiveX control includes a few methods including the SaveBarCode which saves the file as a WMF.

To generate BMP files, use the .NET Forms Control instead of the ActiveX Control. It is included in the Data Matrix Font and Encoder Advantage Package Developer License.

Unless a WMF is converted to BMP using a utility for the ActiveX Control, we do not have a tool/product that will meet all of your requirements.

just checked to make sure

my problem is that the application I need to use in (Navision 4) only accepts the .COM components

The best case scenario would be to do all the work internally but due to limitations on Navision afaik I could not use the FontEncode() method (data type problem... can't handle the returned string)

so:

can't encode the string to a datamatrix directly
can't use the .net component directly
can't export to bmp (only accepted image file format)

looking bleak... any suggestions?

I was testing with the Windows Package demo using the Activex control

From what I can see in the version comparison ActiveX is common across all versions.

should I still try the advantage pack?

List the IDAutomation Data Matrix component/product that you are using. Is it the .NET Forms Control from either the .NET Forms Control Package 2D or the Data Matrix Font and Encoder Advantage Package?

If so, it can save images in several types including BMP. Review the user guide.

Here is an example in VB.NET:
Barcode1.SaveImageAs("SavedBarcode300DPI.BMP", System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.BMP)

Please clarify and provide an example.
