Creating metafiles


When creating a metafile .emf from PDF417 Image Generator, I am getting an invalid file. The software produces a .emf file, but I am unable to read the records in this file. If I open the file in a text editor it appears to be producing a png file. Is there a fix for this?

The issue stems from the fact that while saving an image, a set dpi must be assigned. You may get around this limitation by choosing Copying to Clipboard and pasting the image into a program that supports metafiles, such as Microsoft Word below (the top image is a scalable metafile and the bottom is a saved file imported):

Coping to the clipboard will not work in my situation. I am working with an automated system that creates the barcodes on the command line with the following command.

"PDF417 Image Generator.exe" Loadvalues+pdf417imagegen.xml+datatoencode+metafile.emf

In the xml file, I am setting the <ImageResolution>. Is the resolution you are referring to?

Is there some other way to get around this problem from the command line?
