Resolved Questions

I installed PDF417 Font and Encoder but it doesn't work.

I installed PDF417 Font and Encoder but it doesn't work. I suspect a Windows patch to be the culprit since this symptom has happened before. Are there any known issues with Windows patches?

Operating System: Windows xp

Application: Excel

2016 Update: A new product (Native Barcode Generator for Excel) has been released since this post was resolved that offers an easier method of generating barcodes in Excel.

Try the following:
*Uninstall the Add-In
*Reboot your machine
*Re-installing the AddIn

If that doesn't work, you might have to use the VBA encoder. In that case, you can watch our video on how to encode 2D barcodes (same idea, since PDF417 is a 2D barcode).

I'll try this. I just thought there was a known issue that involved 3 security patches for Excel. When it happened the last time (Oct. 2010) I had to remove the patches and it worked. I didn't make a note of which patches they were.

It's the Add-In.

In Excel- which encoder are you using? The Add-In or the VBA?
