How to encode the GS, RS and EOT in PL/SQL?


How to encode GS,RS and EOT in PL/SQL for generating PDF417 barcode? We are passing the data with the GS,RS and EOT from PL/SQL to Java barcode encoder. We are using CHR(30), CHR(29) and CHR(04) but it does not work.

When encoding non-printable ASCII functions such as RS, GS, and EOT, IDAutomation recommends testing the result with the Barcode Decoder App because it reveals these characters in the result to verify proper encoding.

You can encode your separators and EOT in the Java Component using:

~030 for RS
~029 for GS
~004 for EOT

You must also have ApplyTilde or ProcessTilde set to True.

If you need to encode RS, GS, EOT for Data Matrix, QR Code, or Aztec, use:

~d030 for RS
~d029 for GS
~d004 for EOT
