Unknown Character In GS1-128 Barcode

I am using the IDAutomation Java Linear Barcode Package and developing a layout.

When I sent it in for validation, I received the following response:

Inconsistencies are observed the following: A jump ( * ) is not allowed at the end of the EAN-128 barcode.

Encoded String:
~2134157709998004269~21480200000672586~21439000000953747~2129620160411

Scan:
4157709998004269*80200000672586*39000000953747*9620160411*

Can you help?

I have scanned the barcode and the * characters are not present - the barcode is a properly formed GS1-128 barcode. The issue seems to be the scanner used on your end. You might have to look at the scanner manual or refer to the manufacturer's technical support, but make sure there are not any settings that would misinterpret/convert the GS character, which is compliant with GS1 standards.

When generating GS1 symbols, IDAutomation recommends testing the result with the Barcode Decoder App which parses out GS1 data to verify proper encoding.

Please post a clear image or screenshot of the barcode. We will then analyze it.
