Barcode Label Software Merge to QR-Code VCARD Contact Recognition On iPhone or Android

We had previously purchased the QR Code Barcode Generator and had asked how to implement the VCARD format on a previous Forum Post.

We absolutely loved the quality of technical support we received, so I encouraged another purchase (the IDAutomation Barcode Label Pro Software) for another department, since they have an Excel spreadsheet of data they need to merge/import and end up with QR Codes on a label/badge.

Can you give us the same information on the other post, but applied to the merging of an Excel file into the IDAutomation Barcode Label Pro Software?

Operating System: Windows

Application: Barcode Label Software, Excel

As in the previous post, this example will implement:

* The vCard 2.1 standard
* The Pro version of the IDAutomation Barcode Label Software
* A simple Excel spreadsheet containing the data to be printed to the labels/badges:

IDAutomation Barcode Label Software Setup:

1. For general instruction, follow the Installation through the Adjusting Properties of Objects sections in their entirety.

2. Import the Excel spreadsheet:

3. Using the section titled Additional Capabilities of the Pro and RFID Versions (+ External Data) as a guide, we can form each label.

* Enter the following into the Formula Value box:

"BEGIN:VCARDVERSION:2.1"&chr(13)&"
ORG:"&Field(1)&chr(13)&"
TEL:"&Field(2)&chr(13)&"
URL:"&Field(3)&chr(13)&"
END:VCARD"

Explanation:

* Field(col): returns the value in the linked data source for the column [col] of the current row.
* &: VB concatenation operator to join strings (text).
* chr(charcode) : returns the character associated with the specified charcode from the ASCII chart. 13 was used because it is the decimal (Dec column on the ASCII chart) character for Carriage Return (AKA 'Enter' on a keyboard).

Barcode Results (separate from the label and enlarged):
