Code 128 Font Advantage Package (Developer License) for SSRS


I am trying to install the Code 128 Advantage Package (Developer License). I tried to follow the tutorial for setup at https://www.idautomation.com/barcode-components/windows-forms-control/reporting-services/ but I a lot of the files are different or non-existent. We are running Visual Studio 2010 but typically do most of our editing in the Internet Explorer-based SSRSEditor.

Installation:
Part 2: I was able to find the folder "%ProgramFiles%Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0Common7IDEPrivateAssemblies" (Put it in 10 since that is all we have installed/are able to use) but couldn't find any location like "%Program Files%Microsoft SQL ServerMSRS11.MSSQLSERVERReporting ServicesReportServerbin" in our server.

Part 3: I couldn't find a file called 'RSPreviewPolicy.config

Operating System: Windows Server 2012 R2

Application: SSRS

Note: The (SSRS Font Encoder) has been released since this issue was resolved that offers an easier method of generating barcodes in SSRS without the assembly, config file edits or other components.


To install the Code 128 Font Package, view this post.

When using the Fonts in SSRS for Visual Studio, the .NET Assembly solution is the correct implementation.

Disregard the .NET Forms Control solution that you mentioned in the initial post.

Answer to Part 2:
The .NET Assembly must be placed in the PrivateAssemblies folder. The ReportServer bin is part of SSRS. It should be available on the machine that is running SSRS.

Answer to Part 3:
If the RSPreviewPolicy.config is not in the PrivateAssemblies, then there will be no way to use this implementation.
