Question about scanner for 1D / 2D barcode label marked on cylindrical metallic surface


Our current scanner is mounted inside the machine and is very old and not accurately reading the barcode label printed on the metallic cylinder surface part coming over the transferring conveyor. The problem is that the current scanner is too old and made in Japan originally so there is no technical support to resolve the scanning issue they have.

So I wonder if someone has already had similar applications and solutions to read the 1D/2D barcode printed on curved surface parts. And we need a small size of the scanner to mount inside the machine over the conveyor and I would like to get more detailed information about your solution if you have similar applications.

The IDAutomation 2D USB Barcode Scanner reads both 1D and 2D barcodes from multiple surfaces easily. It has a USB interface and is compatible with all major operating systems, without the need for additional drivers.
