Encoding PDF417: Columns do not work for me

We are using the PDF417Barcode class to encode our data for the IDAutomationPDF417n2 font.
See the following code:

PDF417Barcode b = new PDF417Barcode();
var result = b. FontEncoder(data, 6, 10, 0, false, PDF417Modes.Text, false);

If we set columns to 10 and leave rows set to 0, we always receive 18 columns(without the first and last).
We expect 10 columns.
If we set rows to a specific value and set columns to 0, it works as expected.

Regardless of what value we set to columns, no change in the output.

What are we missing?
PS: If we use the Encoding tool of the PDF417 Font and Encoder Package, setting the column value works as expected.

emikelsoft	Best Answer The issue is resolved. The reason for that was the wrong encoding of the data. I did not use any tabs or carriage return chars. Posted 8.7 year(s) ago (0) (0) Report Abuse
