Resolved Questions

Add-in for Word 2003 is creating multiple IDAutomation toolbars.

Add-in for Word 2003 is creating multiple IDAutomation toolbars but the toolbars are blank but are named IDAutomation. I uninstalled the software then rebooted, then deleted the file called normal.dot for Word. I then rebooted again and installed the add-in for 2003 and I am still having the same problem. Please see the file attached.

When an issue occurs, IDAutomation recommends using the IDAutomationVBA method over the Barcode Add-In for Excel and Word.

Download and import the VBA

To generate Linear Barcodes such as Code 128 B, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, and Intelligent Mail, please view the tutorial:

NOTE: Creating other barcode types such as Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, and Intelligent Mail, is very similar to the video. The only difference is the formula.

To generate Code128B, as the video describes, use =Code128B()

To generate Code 128, use =Code128()

To generate Interleaved 2 of 5, use =I2of5()

To generate UPCe, use = UPCe()

To generate UPCa, use =UPCa()

To generate Intelligent Mail, use =IntelligentMail()

Beyond using the Barcode Add-In for Excel/Word, the only option is to encode the data in Excel using the IDAutomationVBA. This is because Word does not include a way to encode data. Once the data is encoded in Excel, a Word mail merge is recommended.

My problem does not happen in Excel only in Word 2003.
