Barcode printing in Oracle Reports 11g with Multibyte Character set (UTF8) -CODE128

Hi,

Does IDAUTOMATION pll support barcode printing in Oracle 11g applications with UTF8 multi-byte character set?

IDAUTOMATION pll working fine within our 10g reports but with a different Single-Byte character set. Now, we are planning to move to the UTF8 character set and therefore, all the barcode reports should work properly with the UTF8 character set.

Can you please confirm from your Technical support whether IDAUTOMATION pll supports multi-byte character set (UTF8) in Oracle 11g Reports or not?

All the barcodes need to be printed with CODE128 standard.

Thanks.

There might be issues with producing the start/stop encoded characters with the character set that you want to use. Consider using the Universal Barcode fonts to generate Code 128. The character set should not interfere with Universal Fonts (Code 128). The PLL download included in the purchased package of the Universal Fonts is for Oracle Reports 9i and above.
