How can I make a Symbol scanner copy a single scan twice in a row for Quickbooks?


Hi

I want to scan serial numbers into Quickbooks 2015 sales orders in one column and then automatically tab over and paste the same data into the next column.


I want the serial numbers in the sales order to appear in one column as ASCII characters and then in the next column as a barcode. Quickbooks 2015 allows me to change the font in the second column into a barcode font but I need to add * * as start and stop characters in the second copy of the serial number.

I have tried Motorola 123Scan2 software but it doesn’t seem to have the function of caching the data for another copy into the second column.

I am using Symbol LS4071 but can upgrade if necessary.
Quickbooks is limited so unlike a spreadsheet so I cannot have the sheet do the copy for me. It has to be the scanner.


Any advice, please?

Best Answer

One of the best scanners for Quickbooks is the Voyager 1202g. However, Symbol/Motorola's technical support will be able to troubleshoot the Symbol LS4071.
