Ben	Best Answer Note: A new product (SSRS Native Barcode Generator) has been released since this post was resolved that offers an easier method of generating barcodes in SSRS without fonts or other components. The error may occur due to an incomplete deployment. IDAutomation presents a solution in its CRI installation and manual solution in the product and user manual. However, it is possible that further modifications need to be made to additional config files. The error may also indicate the removal of an extension in the report server. NOTE: The solution is originally presented by Microsoft and has been known to resolve the issue. The example assumes that the Linear Barcode CRI is used. For IDAutomation CRI 2D code, view 2D CRI. (1) Locate and open the RSReportServer config file. It is located in the PrivateAssemblies folder of Visual Studio. (2) Add the code to the Delivery element. <Delivery> <Extension Name="LinearBarcode" Type="IDAutomation.ReportingServices.LinearBarcodeCRI,IDAutomation_ ReportingServices_BarcodeCRI"/> </Delivery> (3) Add the code to the DeliveryUI element <DeliveryUI> <Extension Name="LinearBarcode" Type="IDAutomation.ReportingServices.LinearBarcodeCRI,IDAutomation_ ReportingServices_BarcodeCRI"/> </DeliveryUI> (4) Save and close the config file.
