mssql rs input string was not in correct format

Hi Guys,
I implemented the barcode software in a Microsoft SQL report-server 2005 project. (just the demo version for testing purposes)
I always get an "input string was not in correct format" error when I try to preview the report with my German test system.
I am quite sure there is an issue with German OS support.

German win server 2003 sp 2 with German MSSQL 2005 sp4 -> doesn't work
English win server 2003 sp 2 with English MSSQL 2005 sp4 -> works perfectly

Can you help me to solve this, my customer doesn't want to install English OS.

Operating System: Win 2003

Application: MSSQL RS Project

It is difficult to say. What symbology/barcode type are you attempting to create? it seems as if it would be a location setting, though not completely. Unfortunately, I do not know if we can investigate this issue. If you are generating a Linear barcode (Code 128, Code 39, I2of5, UPC), we have a streaming option using our ASPX Barcode Generator Script.

Hi Ben,

I am glad to tell you that I fixed the problem.
I changed the report setting and choose the English language.
Maybe you can investigate and change the language of one report to something different than English and maybe you can fix this problem for other users in Europe.

Other solutions may work I didn't investigate them cause now it is useable for me.

Hi Ben,

thank you for the suggestion but I don't think it is a string error like in the link you sent.
To clarify I just use the example input "123456789012" nothing else in the report just one barcode with the example string of IDAutomation.
As I mentioned before same string same offset with the English server and sql works easily.
must be an encoding issue but it's a bug in the dll I guess or a configuration issue I don't know about.

A possible solution for this issue is provided in an article, How to debug An SSRS error - “Input String was not in Correct Format”
