Products in Excel and Sharing Amongst Peers


We use both the VBA Font Encoder (for use with IDAutomation barcode font packages) and the Native Barcode Generator for Microsoft Excel, which use VBA in a .bas file we must attach to our Excel worksheet to function.

Given we have the correct licensing to share the file, can we simply distribute (among coworkers) the Excel file, and the respective VBA will work?

The error seems to be because the .bas (VBA) file must be installed individually on each machine, as Excel does not embed it into the file itself, it refers to the local copy of it. This is an Excel limitation and not something that can be altered.

The recommendation is to re-attach (see the respective manual for instructions) the .bas file to the worksheet on each machine.
