Make Invoice Number Barcode in QuickBooks Enterprise

We are using QuickBooks Enterprise (QB) and trying to turn invoice numbers into barcodes. When I use the IDAutomation Code 39 fonts, I am using the start/stop characters that are required (*) at the beginning and end of the data (they are added in the database data itself). The resulting scan does not include the *’s.

The issue I am having is that QR needs an exact match to the data in searches.

I can foresee 2 options:
• Exclude the *’s from the data
• Have the scanner output the *’s with the data

Questions:
• Are the above possible?
• Can you add UPC to QB?

Operating System: Windows

Application: Quickbooks Enterprise

Code 39 fonts* require the start/stop characters to scan correctly.

You may be able to have your scanner (pre/append) the start/stop characters in the scanner output (see your scanner manual).

* The only option for barcode fonts is Code 39.
