How to configure barcode font on RTF template for XML Publisher

Hi

We are using Oracle Application Release 12.1.1, and have a requirement to build a XML report through which we can print the barcodes, i have read alot of forums, link but nothing is working. I have tried the following:

1. Downloaded idautomation font from idautomation web on my windows pc where BIUPublisher desktop is installed --> I have installed the idautomation demo font
2. Opened an XML report changed the font of the column that we need to barcode
3. load xml data and print it either rtf or PDF format
4. the barcode font appears
5. Print the report

I have a column i.e. ORD_NUM i want to change the font for this column, so i have downloaded the font from idautomation and applied the barcode font to this column using idautomation word add in, it changes the font but when i print the report and scan it using scanner, the scanner shows the column name ORD_NUM and not the actual number, i have found a lot of forums documents and every one is suggesting to get a java code from the vendor and add imports to the java code. I have a sample java code from the same website and have the sample xdo imports but the problem is i am not good at java. I will give you the codes and the links that i have followed..thanks in advance

1. The vendor code link is: https://www.idautomation.com/fonts/tools/sourcecode/FontIDAutomation.txt
2. the xdo imports and full steps to configure barcode in xml ios:

3: Other useful links are:

I have configured and mapped the fonts in EBS as well but i think the java .class file configuration needs to be completed before the barcode prints, please help

thank you

Update: A new tutorial was created to utilize barcodes in E-Business Suite: https://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/pdf417_for_e_business_suite

In order to use the encoder with XML, you will need some familiarity with Java. Although IDAutomation provides the java encoder and fonts, we do not support the XML/BI Publisher implementation. The blog written by Tim Dexter describes everything you will need to set up the encoder for Publisher.

There are commands in the blog that will walk through registering the encoder class with Publisher.
