Same Code 39 Data with Different Results

We have been using the following data:

(ABC1234=123=1234)

With the Code 39 Barcode Fonts, it works and scans correctly as ABC1234 123 1234.

When we enter the same data using the ActiveX Barcode Control, we get unreadable barcodes.

Can you help us?

Operating System: Windows

Application: ActiveX

Best Answer

The ActiveX Control is a barcode image product that does not use barcode fonts. Unlike the Code 39 fonts, the ActiveX does not need the use of start/stop characters (such as *, !, or parentheses) or substitution characters (as in the = symbol for space).

Solution:
Simply encode ABC1234 123 1234 in the ActiveX and you will get a valid barcode.
