How to change the size of a barcode?

I am confused ... some of your documentation says I can change the barcode size using point size. But then I also read that I can change the size by changing the XDimension. Can you explain?

Depending on the technology used, there are several ways to modify the height and width of a barcode.

POINT SIZE FOR BARCODE FONTS
The term point size describes the size of a font/barcode font. For example, changing the barcode point size to 18 simply means that the font size is set at 18.

Modifying the point size affects the XDimension of a barcode. It is the width of the most narrow bars in the barcode, which all other bars are built on. Increase the point size and the XDimension (overall barcode width) increases, decrease the point size, and XDimension decreases. Its measurement is commonly represented in MILS (1/1000th of an inch) or CM (centimeters).

XDIMENSION FOR BARCODE IMAGES
Barcode products that generate a barcode as an image use XDimension directly, in MILS or CM. Products that generate barcodes as an image include barcode components and applications.

For example, the XDimension of a barcode created by the Image Generator is obtained by changing the XDimension value.

The barcode height of a component/application is modified through its BarHeight or Barcode Height property in inches or centimeters.
