Additional Digit at the end with Codabar | Code 39

We are using the Java servlet from the Java Barcode Generator Package installed on our server. Trying to generate a barcode with the "Codabar" symbology using the below format and the generated barcode keeps returning with an extra digit after the stop code. It does the same with Code 39. Am I doing anything wrong?

The extra character that is added to the end of a barcode is called the Check Digit or check character and by default these are enabled in your Java encoder. For symbologies that do not require a Check Digit such as Code 39 and Codabar, the check character may be disabled by setting the CheckCharacter property to "N." If you want the Check Digit encoded in the barcode but do not want it displayed, set the CheckCharacterInText to "N."

The properties list is located here: Java Barcode Properties List

CheckCharacter - CC - Y - If true, the software will calculate the check character automatically. The applet and servlet convert "Y" to true and "N" to false.

CheckCharacterInText - CT - Y - If true, the checksum character will be appended to the human-readable text; Default =True; checksum characters cannot be displayed or disabled for Code 128.
