Regarding Barcode - Code 128 generation & printing requirements

Hi All,

I am new to Bar code generation. Please help me with the following.

I have a requirement to generate code 128 bar code format with product code and batch number as the barcode number and generate the price and expiry date of the product under each bar code. Also while generation of the barcode system should directly print the generated barcode from our Java swing application.

We can provide the product code, batch number, price, and expiry dates as an attribute from our swing application.

So my question is that any way to have support for this from the IDAutomation package? if so, please let me know how to do this.

We are also ready to purchase the package, if everything meets our requirement

Operating System: Windows & Linux

Application: Java Swing application

IDAutomation’s barcode-generating components do not perform 'lookup operations' and are independent of any printing mechanisms, as they are images. The printing is left to the operating system to handle. Barcode-generating components simply encode the data sent to them into a barcode image.

If the product key, price, and expiry are sent as a single string of text to the Java component, it will encode that text string to the barcode. Make sure that all characters sent to the component can be found on the Code 128 Barcode Character Set.

Thanks for your reply.
I am just looking for a component to generate a Barcode. The Barcode will generate with respect to the product key. After the generation of the Barcode, I have to print the price of the product, and the expiry date. These two items should print at the bottom of the bar code. This will be sent dynamically during the generation of the Barcode for each product. Also, we will send the number of copies to print. the Thermal printer should print accordingly. Is it possible? Please let me know your feedback.

Thanks in Advance.

The unclear part of the given requirement is if the 'printing' of the product name, product price, and expiry date is part of the barcode (as human-readable text underneath) or separately from the barcode.

The Java Barcode Package can produce Code 128 barcodes that hold numbers, letters, and special characters found in the Code 128 Barcode Character Set.

We encourage the downloading of the Java Barcode Package Demo (Linear Version) to test it directly.

The Java Barcode Package can produce Code 128 barcodes as a local image-generating component, as a Servlet, or as an Applet.

Are you looking for the component to generate a barcode, given specific input from a dynamic datasource? Or are you looking for an entire application suite for barcode generation, an interface, and information retrieval?
