Does the scanner's ability to transfer data to the application depend on the barcode type?

I've recently learned how to embed a data matrix code with TAB and ENTER keys however the host doesn't seem to be able to keep up with the scan after about 3 fields of data.

I've tried the usb keystroke delay and that helps a little. I'm now wondering if there's a better code than data matrix that I might use such as code 39 or something. Or is there something besides keystroke delay that may help the host catch up with the scanner's ability?

Ben	Best Answer When you say host, are you referring to the Hosted Dynamic Barcode Generator Service's Free Creator? Is your question specific to the host (Hosted Service) speed or the scanner's ability to transfer data from the barcode to the application? Mine was referring to either the scanner's ability to transfer data or the application/software's ability to process the information from the scanner (I don't know which is the problem). Ok so I think you answered my question then - the barcode type doesn't matter. Maybe I'd want to talk to zebra scanner support to see what I can do. thanks!!!

I'm just using the Free Data Matrix ECC200 Image Creator. I'm using a zebra scanner connected via usb to scan the image on pharmacy software.
