How can we print to file using Barcode Label Software?


How can we enable the print-to-file option for creating a .prn file in your IDAutomation Barcode Label Software Pro Version?

Printing a PRN file from the label software is a function of the printer driver.
With some print drivers, you can perform the following to create the PRN file:
Go to <Start> <Settings> <Printers>
Open the properties for the printer involved and set the printer port to "Print to a File".
From the label software choose this printer and run the print job.
The driver should then prompt you to enter a file name for the output.
Be sure the file you generate ends in PRN.

You can also create a PDF using the Label Software (free, standard, pro) by installing and selecting a PDF writer in your Print options:
