February 2021 Update: UTF-8 Encoding for 2D Versions


The latest update to the Native Access Barcode Generators has been released. This release supports the following valuable new features:

- Supports UTF-8 Unicode Encoding.

The above functionality has been updated in the versions for Data Matrix, PDF417, QR Code, and Linear + 2D, although this has not been added to the linear barcode support at this time.

UTF-8 is a variable-length method of encoding Unicode characters such as Chinese, Japanese, Russian, and Thai. Any UTF-8 character in the Unicode range (0-65535) can now be encoded with this update.

The Barcode Decoder Verification App may be used to read UTF-8 in QR-Code.

If you already own a license to the Linear + 2D, Data Matrix, PDF417, or QR Code version of the Native Barcode Generator for Access, then you may receive access to download the latest version with a purchase of the one year Level 2 Support Subscription.
