Crystal reports dynamic QR Code generation is not working

I have downloaded and installed about everything I can think of. I am using Crystal Reports 2011 on Windows 10. The static "sample" QR code works just fine, but when I set the DataToEncode equal to a value that is dynamic (changes for every record) it doesn't work. I just get a partial QR code. You can tell by looking at it, that it is incomplete. Scanning it shows it is empty also. I can put the value into your Application, and it works fine. Just doesn't create inside of Crystal for me.

Operating System: Windows 10

Application: Crystal Reports 2011

Increasing the Version number setting in the field formula fixed the issue.

The demo version contains a static barcode that may be used for evaluation purposes only. It may be copied into another report and distributed to prove its functionality. The static barcode cannot be changed because this would reveal the complete formula, which is only available in the purchased version. The purchased version is provided with a 30-day money-back satisfaction guarantee. If it is necessary to test dynamic barcodes with this product, the purchased version is required.

I forgot to mention, this is the DEMO version I just downloaded. I thought the crippled version just prepended the word "DEMO" along with the text that I am trying to convert.

It is a numeric field. I wrapped it with totext and also tried referencing a formula field that does the same. Either way, same result.

Make sure the field containing the barcode is large enough to contain all of it so that it is not truncated. Sometimes you also have to convert dynamic data to text with the "totext" function, for example:
DataToEncode = totext({NumberField},0,"")
