To generate a Data Matrix, you only need the IDAutomation2D font. You need to follow a two-step process to use this font in your application. First, install the font. Second, implement a Font Encoder in the desired application. This font encoder converts the data that needs to be encoded into a text string that generates the correct symbol when combined with the barcode font. For Crystal Reports, we suggest the Crystal Reports Font Formula. This formula is included in the integration folder of the downloaded zip file.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

Font Installation: Ensure that the required Data Matrix font is properly installed on your system. If the font is missing or not installed correctly, Crystal Reports won't be able to display it accurately. Download the font from a reputable source and install it according to your operating system's instructions.

Font Selection in Crystal Reports: When designing your report in Crystal Reports, make sure you select the correct Data Matrix font from the font dropdown menu. The font name should match the one you installed.

Encoding Mode: The Data Matrix supports different encoding modes that determine how data is structured within the barcode. Check if the encoding mode used in the font matches the encoding mode you're trying to use in Crystal Reports.

Font Size and Alignment: Ensure that the font size and alignment settings in Crystal Reports are appropriate for displaying the Data Matrix barcode. Incorrect settings might lead to distorted or unreadable barcodes.

Font Rendering Settings: Crystal Reports might have font rendering settings that need adjustment. Check if there are any anti-aliasing or font smoothing options that could affect the appearance of the barcode.

Testing Different Fonts: Try using a different Data Matrix font to see if the issue persists. It's possible that the specific font you're using has compatibility problems.

Data Formatting: Make sure the data you're encoding in the Data Matrix barcode is correctly formatted and adheres to the specifications of the font. Incorrect data formatting can result in scanning issues.

Software Updates: Check if there are any updates or patches available for Crystal Reports. Sometimes, software updates address compatibility issues and bugs.

Printer Compatibility: If you're printing the Crystal Report, ensure that the printer you're using supports Data Matrix barcodes. Some printers might not handle certain barcode fonts properly.

Technical Support: If you've tried all the above steps and the issue still persists, consider reaching out to Crystal Reports' technical support or community forums for assistance.
