There are spaces in the barcode


We are using "IDAutomation Uni M" in our template file from the Universal Font. It was working fine till last week and we were able to scan the barcode. Last weekend some patches were applied to our system. From that time, we have started getting spaces in between barcodes and scanning is not working.

The following are known to cause spacing issues:

1.
Spaces can appear in the barcode when the font is not properly formatted with a font encoder. For example, the text returned from the font encoder encoding SC4341207504 in code 128 for the Universal Font should be exactly EBDEKACECEICEKAFADGIAH and if it is not the proper font encoder should be updated.

2.
Fonts with the “@” symbol in the font list can cause spaces in a barcode font. To solve this, choose the fonts listed below that do not begin with the @ symbol. For example, instead of choosing the font "@IDAutomation Uni M", choose "IDAutomation Uni M" instead.

3.
Check the settings for the character, paragraph, and line spacing and ensure the field is large enough to contain the entire barcode symbol.
