How to stream a PDF417 barcode?

Hello,

I am evaluating your ASP.NET Server Control for 2D barcodes. I need to generate a PDF417 barcode on the server and capture the stream output, which then gets used to generate a PDF document.

I currently have it working using this code:

Dim imageStream As System.IO.MemoryStream = New System.IO.MemoryStream()
Dim barcode As IDAutomation.PDF417ServerControl.PDF417Barcode = New IDAutomation.PDF417ServerControl.PDF417Barcode()
barcode.PDFErrorCorrectionLevel = 2
barcode.DataToEncode = barcodeData
barcode.ImageType = PDF417Barcode.ImageTypes.JPEG
barcode.PDFMode = PDF417Barcode.PDF417Modes.Text
barcode.ImageResolution = 600
Dim oBitmap As System.Drawing.Bitmap = barcode.GetBitmapImageForBinaryStream()

oBitmap.Save(imageStream, ImageFormat.Jpeg)

Is there a more direct way to capture the stream without using the Bitmap?

I see there is a PDF417StreamCS.dll. I prefer not to add an aspx page and just generate the barcode from existing class files.

Thank you.

To use the method you describe, just reference the image file at the system level, where it is located.

Otherwise, to stream the image by a URL, you would use the ASP Page method.

Ultimately, both generate a reliable barcode image.

For specifics, please refer to the Manual page.
