Streamed Barcode Image to Report Builder Scanning Issue


We are using the ASPX Barcode Generator Script to generate barcodes in SSRS Report Builder 3. When we preview the barcodes and export them to PDF, they look fine and scan.

When our warehouse (in a different location) prints the same document, the printed barcodes are unscannable.

What can you suggest we do to resolve this problem?

Action: Client described implementation and sent multiple barcode images via email.

Resolution: After instructing the client to test the barcode generation with static data and ruling out the printer resolution as a possible cause, it was determined that the IDAutomation ASPX Barcode Generator Script was not causing the issue.

After further investigation, the client found that the warehouse management system (Acellos WMS) uses a printing engine called Springboard Print, whose scaling settings distorted the barcode images. Once the scaling setting was disabled, the issue was resolved and the barcodes scanned correctly.
