QrCode in Access Detail only shows first record.

Question

I have a qrcode in an access report and when generating the report only shows the first QrCode.  Other detail sections below show the data but the QrCode text box is blank.

Subreports can be very difficult to manage and IDAutomation software is not specifically designed to be used in subreports, so there is no documentation on this. I would recommend starting by adding the code for the section in the subreport where the QR Code will appear. You should be building the entire event in the subreport itself and not in the parent report, as the software is not designed to add something to a parent report and have it appear in a subreport. Subreports are entire reports on their own and should be treated that way.

Additionally, if you are trying to build more than one barcode into your report, you should review the section of the tutorial called "Generating Multiple Barcode Symbols on one Report".

If barcodes are not appearing at all, please see the Technical Support & Troubleshooting section of the tutorial for security settings.

Again, because you stated that one barcode is appearing but not the others, I recommend that you check all of the items I recommended and provide screenshots of all of the steps so that we can assist you further.

If the QrCode is in a subreport, do you use the event of the parent detail or the event of the subreport detail to generate the code?

When using the Native Barcode Generator for Microsoft Access, you should be following the Native Barcode Generator for Microsoft Access User Manual.

In Steps 11- 15 of the tutorial, you are building the Event that will be used to encode your data from your tables. In that code, if your barcode will not be in the "Detail" section of the report, you will need to change that to reflect which section of the report your barcode is being placed in, and you also need to verify that the name of the text field matches what you have set in the Report Properties from Step 8 of the tutorial. The control source needs to be set to your table data that you have set up in your Database.

If you have verified every step of the tutorial, please provide screenshots of every step of the tutorial for further assistance, showing what you have set up and what the result is.

IDAutomation cannot troubleshoot your table data for you, so you also need to verify all of the table data and that there is more than one record to display from that table. You can test this by hardcoding the data in the Control Source, and if you obtain a QR Code that way but not from the table you are pulling from, then you will need to work within your organization to address the data inside the table.
