Access Reports run slow with 2D Barcodes PDF417 and Data Matrix

We have run into an issue when creating the 2D barcodes that the reports are running very slowly. How can we speed them up?

Brant	Best Answer When using the Native Barcode Generator for Access, encoding a large amount of data with PDF417 or Data Matrix may cause reports to slow down because of the complex calculations that must be performed in VBA code for the generation of these symbols. If this issue is observed, consider decreasing the amount of data being encoded, or implement the IDAutomation Barcode ActiveX Controls, which are compiled in C++ for improved calculation speed.
