Access 2016 on Windows 10 computer crashes barcoded report

We are using the IDA24 PDF417 Font & Encoder loaded on the laptop and into Access 2016 following IDAutomation instructions.
Every time I try to load a pre-created report with barcodes, it crashes Access.
When I try to import a report, it crashes Access.
When I try to build a report, it crashes Access.
Basically, Access is not allowing any reports with the barcodes created using ActiveX.
Normally I just load the PDF417 Font & Encoder Suite onto the computer, update Access using your instructions, add in ActiveX, or import in the report that already has ActiveX created and it works.

Operating System: Windows 10

Application: Access 2016

The Barcode ActiveX Control uses legacy COM technology and is not compatible with Access 2013 or greater when used as a graphic object. Instead, it is recommended to use the VBA included with the product as a font encoder.

For Access barcode integration that stays embedded in the database and does not require a font, IDAutomation recommends the Native Access Barcode Generator, which does not rely on ActiveX or any other components to be installed.
