Is possible to save ActiveX Barcode Control to memory stream?

Dear Support Team,

I try to use Active X barcode control it can save to .wmf file to local disk perfectly. Is it possible to save directly to the memory stream?

My case:

1. Save to local disk with .wmf file then save to database blob filed [ OK ]
2. I would like to extract a picture from the Active X barcode to the memory stream and then save it to the database blob field is it possible to do this?

I use Delphi as IDE, IDautomation doesn't support report designer like "Report Builder www.digital-metaphors.com/ " or "Fast Report www.fast-report.com" so need to add it to the blob field as an image before showing it on the report designer mentioned above.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Charin.

Now I got a solution for my project, it works perfectly.

For someone who uses Delphi as IDE, you can import ActiveX Control by following the steps:

1. Install ActiveX Component from IDAutomation
2. Component->Import Component->Import ActiveX Control
3. Select "IDAutomation Linear Barcode"
4. Select desired Unit Name Dir, Search Path
5. select "Add unit to your project"
----
You will have a Barcode on the ActiveX report.

That's All!

Unfortunately, we do not have any C# code for the Active X control. However, have you considered using our .NET forms control instead?
This may be a better fit since C# is being used. If the Active X control was purchased within the last 30 days it can be returned for a full refund.
Refer to this page for the refund process.

To support team,

I try .Picture property in Delphi raises an exception, Can you provide some examples in C# or other languages to get the image programmatically?

However, I already buy your product it is an amazing quality of the barcode image.

Thanks,
Charin.

Charin,

Have you tried using the .Picture property of the ActiveX control? This will allow you to get the image programmatically and should be able to be included in a memory stream.

The active X control can probably be used in the reporting tools mentioned, assuming that they have active X support. We do not have any experience with these tools, however, so any help we give regarding this will be from a limited viewpoint.
