Brant	Best Answer IDAutomation has released a new version of its ActiveX controls to address a possible vulnerability caused by the use of insecure libraries inherent to ActiveX technologies. Under very specific conditions, the vulnerability could allow a DOS attack to take place on the affected system. The latest release of all the ActiveX products implements secure libraries which eliminate the possibility of such attacks. All ActiveX Controls purchased before September 2007 should obtain the updated product. This vulnerability applies to the Windows DLLs provided with the following products: IDAutomation Linear Barcode ActiveX Control (IDA31) IDAutomation Linear + 2D Barcode ActiveX Control (IDA39) This vulnerability also applies to the Windows DLLs and ActiveX Controls included in the PDF417 and DataMatrix Font and encoder packages. IDAutomation PDF417 Font and encoder Advantage Package (IDA24) IDAutomation Data Matrix Font and encoder Advantage Package (IDA30) An update is available with the Priority Support and Upgrade Subscription.
